The most important Mexican band, Cafe Tacvba, completes 20 years together and plans a grand celebration. They've already started the celebration plus the "SINO" tour and will be touring the United States from November 19 to December 5, 2009.
Recently, Cafe Tacvba was the winner of the Premio Leyenda at Los Premios MTV 2009 on MTV Tr3s this past October 15th. The honor was presented to the band by British icon Morrissey, a legend in his own right. Let's celebrate with Cafe Tacvba and go to the concert on November 29th.
Maneja Beto, Rock y Roll Radio's most favorite band, has a new single out right now. The title of the single is "Ofrendas" and you have to hear it. The song still has the Maneja Beto feel and sound but with an "Indie Disco en Español" beat. You can just sit back and listen or just let your feet follow the beat.

El Tule has a new CD and wants to celebrate the event with family, friends and the fans. Volumen II has Cumbia, Salsa and Merengue tunes that promise to make this event a dance party.
Rock y Roll Radio has been to numerous El Tule performances and thoroughly enjoys their music and energy. Volumen II definitely takes El Tule to the next level. The band sounds tight and musically the band projects the Latin soul that Cumbias, Salsa and Merengues were meant to have. This body of work is going to open new doors of opportunity for El Tule so be a part of it by attending the CD Release Party and buying the CD.

Salsa Candela, an Austin dance group, will perform all the Latin dances and thoroughly entertain you. They also like audience participation and will pull people from the audience to be part of the show. If you're a dancer here's your chance to shine and if you're a non-dancer, go for it anyway.

The Raspas, an Austin band, plays a combination of Reggae, Punk and Ska with a smooth mellow but rocking sound and beat.Rock y Roll Radio will be watching the progress of The Raspas and catching a few of their shows. Keep an eye on these guys and catch a performance or two as well.
Axis Unity, also an Austin band, plays Roots music, Rock and Reggae but with a slight edge. Both The Raspas and Axis Unity should complement each other and promises to be a great "free" show. No reason not to go see a couple of great groups.
Kinky has a new video off their recent album, "Barracuda." Barracuda has received rave reviews and Rock y Roll Radio definitely agrees that this is an exceptional album.
